Because you should read everything here knowing it. A site that earns money when you buy has an obvious incentive to tell you to buy, and burying that in small print at the bottom of page nine is exactly how affiliate content earned its reputation.
The FTC's endorsement guides require this disclosure. We would rather it were the first thing you see than a line you find afterwards.
On a $12 offer, this matters less than usual
Worth being straight about the scale. A commission on a $12 monthly membership is small. We are not going to pretend that removes the incentive — it does not — but it does mean there is no expensive annual plan or lifetime tier here that we would make more money steering you into. - We reproduce reviews verbatim — including the five-star ones that tell you to be careful, which is the line most affiliate sites would cut.
- We say plainly that a vetted room reduces counterparty risk rather than removing it, and that this is not escrow.
- Our worth-it page tells collectors who are not actively transacting that the membership has no job to do for them and they should not join.
- Our safe trading guide is written to be useful whether or not you ever click an affiliate link, and earns us nothing.
- Our alternatives page lists free options first.
